Caribou Coffee brings lavender back in the new year—and it is here to stay

Fan-favorite lavender is returning for good on Jan. 3, along with a new seasonal Berry-C Energy Drink with Coconutmilk Cold Foam and added vitamin C

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – JANUARY 2, 2025 – Caribou Coffee, a premium coffeehouse known for industry-leading innovation and signature handcrafted beverages, is excited to announce a refreshed menu to kick-start the new year. Starting Friday, Jan. 3, guests can enjoy real lavender in handcrafted beverages like the Honey Lavender Espresso Shaker and Lavender Lemonade Energy Drink, along with another new energy drink—Berry-C Energy Drink with Coconutmilk Cold Foam—at participating coffeehouses in the United States.

After introducing lavender on its spring menu last year, the flavor is back by popular demand, and here to stay. Handcrafted beverages such as the Honey Lavender Latte and Lavender Matcha Tea Latte will be available year-round going forward. Guests can also add lavender syrup to any of their other favorite beverages, including Caribou’s signature Crafted Press, for an additional charge.

Two new energy drinks will bring unique flavors to an already extensive energy lineup. Since being introduced last summer, guests have enthusiastically embraced customizing their energy experience with original or lemonade options, cold foam and unique seasonal flavors. Building on this, the Lavender Energy drink joins the permanent menu alongside other classic flavors, while the Berry-C Energy with Coconutmilk Cold Foam is here for a limited time while supplies last. The feel-good berry flavor comes with added vitamin C for a boost of wellness.

Like all handcrafted beverages at Caribou, each drink on the winter menu is crafted with only premium ingredients like real lavender and real honey, without any artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives.

Caribou Coffee’s new menu items include:

  • Honey Lavender Latte: Espresso with milk, lavender syrup and honey. Available hot or iced.
  • Honey Lavender Espresso Shaker: Espresso, lavender syrup and honey shaken with ice and topped with oatmilk.
  • Lavender Matcha Tea Latte: Matcha powder with lavender syrup and milk. Available hot or iced.
  • Frozen Lavender Matcha with Bubbles: Matcha powder and lavender syrup blended with half & half, ice, and our signature shake mix; served over coconut coffee jellies.
  • Lavender Energy Drink: Sparkling energy drink, available in original or lemonade, flavored with lavender.
  • Berry-C Energy Drink with Coconutmilk Cold Foam: Sparkling energy drink, available in original or lemonade, with flavors of strawberry, blueberry and raspberry, with added vitamin C; topped with coconutmilk cold foam.

In addition to the line-up of beverages, guests can fuel up with protein-packed food items, served all day:

  • Eggs Benedict Sandwich: Canadian bacon, cheesy hollandaise sauce, cage-free egg on an English muffin; with 15 grams of protein.
  • Turkey Provolone on Asiago Bagel: Smoked turkey, provolone cheese, spinach, roasted tomatoes, and garden veggie cream cheese on a toasted asiago bagel; with 27 grams of protein.

*Available at participating coffeehouses nationwide for a limited time, while supplies last. Energy drinks contain caffeine. Berry-C Energy contains 90-210% Daily Value of Vitamin C dependent on drink size. Percentage of daily values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet.

Caribou Coffee is also introducing a new irresistible pairing of deliciousness and value that hits the spot with a $6 Caribou Combo. Available exclusively for Caribou Perks® members, the combo features a large Cold Press or Coffee of the Day with a Glazed Donut starting at $6. This limited-time offer is available in-store or by ordering ahead via the app at participating locations. This offer joins the existing combo options of a medium Crafted Press and any breakfast item or medium Energy drink and any lunch item, starting at $10.

Joining Caribou Perks loyalty reward program is free and easy by visiting cariboucoffee.com/caribou-perks or texting “Perks” to 763-CARIBOU. Members have various options to order and pick up their favorites from the winter menu, including ordering and paying ahead through the Caribou Coffee app to earn points for in-store, drive-thru, curbside pickup, or delivery. From there, members can build their points balance and redeem great rewards like free bakery items, handcrafted beverages, size upgrades and even growlers and coffee beans. Additionally, there is no added charge for non-dairy milk options for Caribou Perks members when they order ahead via the Caribou Coffee app. The mobile app allows guests to save their favorite customizable drinks and frequently visited stores, share rewards with friends, and redeem points or rewards online and in the coffeehouse.
