Find your bliss at Caribou Coffee with new spring drinks made with real lavender

The coffeehouse introduces five beverages made with real lavender and this year’s release of Amy’s Blend, with a portion of proceeds donated to the International Women’s Coffee Alliance 

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – MARCH 5, 2024 – Caribou Coffee, a global premium coffeehouse and Panera Brands company, is excited to announce lavender to its lineup of handcrafted beverages starting Thursday, March 7. Five new handcrafted beverages featuring real lavender will be available in the U.S. for a limited time, including the Honey Lavender Espresso Shaker and the Iced White Mocha with Lavender Cold Foam.

It’s been a year since Caribou Coffee announced its innovative Espresso Shakers, and the new seasonal Honey Lavender Espresso Shaker will bring a unique flavor to this already extensive lineup. Guests have enthusiastically embraced each shaker flavor. Current options include vanilla, caramel and white chocolate, while previous seasonal flavors included the Pumpkin Espresso Shaker and the Ho Ho Mint Mocha Espresso Shaker.

The industry-leading innovation that Caribou Coffee brings to its beverage lineup continues with Lavender Cold Foam, made with oatmilk. The cold foam combines real lavender with non-dairy oatmilk to top off any drink with a taste of spring. Guests can try the Iced White Mocha with Lavender Cold Foam or add Lavender Cold Foam as a customization to any beverage for an additional charge.

Caribou Coffee continues to be committed to serving customers quality products that they can feel good about. Like all handcrafted beverages at Caribou, each delicious drink on the new menu is made using premium ingredients like real lavender and real honey. Guests can order any one of the new spring drinks from a variety of preparation options:

  • Honey Lavender Latte: Real lavender flavor with real honey, espresso and steamed milk. Available hot or iced.
  • Honey Lavender Espresso Shaker: Fresh espresso shaken with real lavender flavor, real honey, and ice topped with a splash of oatmilk.  
  • Iced White Mocha with Lavender Cold Foam: White chocolate, espresso and cold milk served over ice; topped with real lavender oatmilk cold foam.
  • Lavender Matcha Tea Latte: Matcha tea powder with real lavender flavor with steamed milk. Available hot or iced.
  • Frozen Lavender Matcha with Bubbles: Matcha tea powder blended with ice, real lavender flavor, half & half and our signature shake mix; served over coconut coffee jellies.

Guests can also add real lavender flavor to any of their other favorite Caribou Coffee beverages for an additional charge.

With spring also comes the return of Caribou Coffee’s Amy’s Blend. Each year the release of Amy’s Blend is celebrated by both employees and guests to pay tribute to Caribou’s original roastmaster, Amy Erickson. Caribou Coffee sources specialty-grade coffee because of the rigorous standards she put into place more than 25 years ago.

Amy’s Blend features both a light and dark roast whole bean blend. Amy’s Blend light roast includes bright, citrus flavors and a hint of melon with a smooth, harmonious silkiness to it. It is also available in decaf. Amy’s Blend dark roast features a lush chocolate and burgundy tone with a silk smooth body and sweet smoky finish.

For 2024, Caribou Coffee will be supporting the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) with a portion of proceeds from Amy’s Blend to strengthen the commitment both organizations have to encourage, recognize and uplift women in coffee. These proceeds will go directly to chapters in Guatemala, Costa Rica, Kenya and Ethiopia, empowering these chapters to develop and execute programs that will achieve meaningful change for the women throughout the coffee industry in the countries where Amy’s Blend is sourced from.
