Caribou Perks®

Do I have to use the Caribou Coffee app or CaribouCoffee.com to redeem points for rewards? 

Yes. You will need to use the Caribou Coffee app or the website to redeem points for things like complimentary brewed coffee, size upgrades, and more. To do this, just view “My Rewards” in the app or access “My Account” on CaribouCoffee.com.  

What is a “check-in”? 

A “check-in” is when a Caribou Perks member identifies themselves by showing the store team member the barcode on the Caribou Coffee app, ordering ahead in the Caribou Coffee app, or when a member provides their phone number at the register prior to purchase. It is also considered a “Check-in” when a member successfully checks out on CaribouCoffee.com while signed into their Caribou Perks account. 

What if I miss a “check-in” or don’t get credit for my visit? 

Please contact our Guest Relations team via customerrelations@cariboucoffee.com, by calling 1.888.227.4268 or via chat. Please give them the details of your visit (e.g. what store, the date and your ticket amount). 

How do I reset my password? 

If you are attempting to log into your Caribou Perks account and can’t remember your password you can reset your password from the login screen. The Caribou Coffee app will email you to reset your password for security purposes. If you are already logged into the app, you can change or update your password from the “Update Profile” section of My Account. If you are still having trouble, please reach out to the Guest Relations team.

How do I update my account? 

Select “More” and then “Update Profile” in the Caribou Coffee app or within Account details of CaribouCoffee.com.

I’m trying to create an account, but it says my information is in use. How do I fix this?

If you are trying to create a new Caribou Perks account, but are receiving an error message, please reach out to our Guest Relations team at 1.888.227.4268 from the phone number you want tied to your Caribou Perks account.

Caribou Perks® points

How do I earn points? 

Caribou Perks members will earn 2 points for every $1 spent on purchases at participating U.S. Caribou Coffee locations when they “check-in” and pay with their Caribou Coffee app or order ahead with the Caribou Coffee app. Caribou Perks members will earn 1 point for every $1 spent for checking in at the register or drive-thru and using cash or credit/debit card to pay. This does not include the purchase of gift cards or eGift cards.

Will my points ever expire? 

If you don’t have any activity or a “Check-in” in your Caribou Perks account for six months, the points in your account (no matter when they were earned) will expire and will no longer be available for redemption. 

“Activity” is defined as a check-in/visit or a reward redemption in a Caribou Coffee store in the U.S. or CaribouCoffee.com 

Where can I find my point balance? 

You will be able to see your points balance on the Caribou Coffee® app, within your account on CaribouCoffee.com, or if you are opted into emails and push notifications. In addition, your Caribou Coffee team member who checks you in at the store will also be able to see your point balance. 

What happens if I redeem my points for a reward and don’t use it? 

The points you redeemed the reward for will be deducted from your account balance. However, the reward will still be in your account and can be used up to 14 days (about 2 weeks) after you redeemed your points for the reward. 

Caribou Perks® Rewards

How do I earn rewards? 

Caribou Perks member can earn Rewards by redeeming their Points. Rewards can be redeemed at 25 points, 50 points, 100 points, 175 points, 200 points, 225 points, 300 points, or 400 points. The more you check in, the more you buy, the more points you’ll earn and rewards you can use. It’s that easy. View all available Rewards here.

How long is my reward valid for?

Usually, you will have 14 days to redeem, but keep in mind that the expiration date of the reward can vary based on the promotion. In order to see the exact date, make sure you have the Caribou Coffee app or have opted into email notifications, so you know how long you have to redeem. 

How will I know when I earn a new reward? 

You will receive an email or a mobile message if you have opted in as communication preferences to inform you of the reward. Your rewards can also be managed in the Caribou Coffee® app or within the “Your Rewards” section of visit www.cariboucoffee.com.  

Will I get a birthday reward by being a Caribou Perks member? 

Yes, Caribou Perks members will receive a free beverage, any size that is valid for up to 7 days. The perfect way to celebrate your Birthday week. 

Why did I not receive a birthday reward? 

If you do not have any activity or “check-ins” during the six-month period, your account is not considered active, and you will not receive a free birthday drink. 

What is the Size Upgrade reward? 

A Size Upgrade can be redeemed for 25 points. With this reward you can buy the size you like and then pay for the size below. For example, when you redeem your Size Upgrade reward, you could purchase a large beverage and pay for the price of a medium beverage. 

Can I use my free bag of beans or K-Cup® Pods reward online?

Unfortunately, the reward for a free bag of beans or K-Cup® Pods can only be redeemed at participating U.S. Caribou Coffee locations. 

Gift Cards and eGift Cards

I have more than one card, can I combine them?

To combine gift cards or update your Caribou Coffee card please log in and click “Add a gift card” on cariboucoffee.com or open your app and click on “Payment Options” and your Caribou Card option.

How do I transfer a gift card balance to my Caribou Coffee app? 

You can transfer gift card balances to your Caribou Coffee app and use your app to pay in-store. To transfer a gift card to your mobile wallet, click “More” within the bottom navigation. From there, select “Payment Options” and select “Caribou Card.” Once you’re on this page, click “Transfer Gift Card Value” and you will be able to enter the gift card number from the back of your gift card and pin, if applicable. Once you enter the number (hint: don’t include the spaces), you can complete the transfer. The balance will be available on your mobile app and the physical or digital gift card will no longer carry a balance. 

How do I check my gift card or eGift card balance?

You can check all gift card balances at https://www.cariboucoffee.com/check-gift-card-balance/. If you need additional assistance, please reach out to our Guest Relations team.

How do I send an eGift card to a friend?

Select send eGift card from the menu screen and we will walk you through the process! 

When sending an eGift card, does the recipient need to have the app? 

No, the recipient would simply receive an email or text message (SMS) with a link to their eGift card. If they have the app, they can add the money from the eGift card into their account in the payment options section of the app. 

I lost my physical Caribou Perks card, how do I get a new one? 

If you lost your physical Caribou Perks card, we suggest downloading the Caribou Coffee® App to maximize your Caribou Perks experience. Within the app, you’ll be able to manage and use your rewards, order ahead and have the best of Caribou Coffee at your fingertips. Download the app now

I lost my physical gift card, how do I get a new one?  

If you lost your physical gift card, please reach out to our Guest Relations team at 1.888.227.4268 with either the purchase details or information about the last time the gift card was used.

I have a gift card that shows no balance, how do I fix this?  

If your gift card is not working as it should, please reach out to our Guest Relations team at 1.888.227.4268 with the purchase details of the gift card.  

Caribou Coffee® App

What can I use the Caribou Coffee app for? 

The Caribou Coffee app can be used to Order Ahead, check-in at the store to earn points, pay with your mobile device, check your transaction history, transfer gift card balances, and redeem your points for rewards. You can also customize and favorite your order as well as favorite your store.

I tried adding funds from my credit card to the Caribou Coffee App, but I am not seeing them loaded to my current balance. What’s going on?

If you have tried to load funds from your credit/debit card onto the mobile app, but are not seeing your balance change, please check that you have the correct billing information in the app. Funds cannot be added if we do not have accurate billing information. Pending charges may take up to 30 days to reverse. For further questions, please contact Guest Relations online, via customerrelations@cariboucoffee.com, by calling 1.888.227.4268 or via chat.

How do I reset my password?

If you are attempting to log into the mobile app/your Caribou Perks account and can’t remember your password, you can reset your password from the login screen. An email will be sent asking you to reset your password for security purposes. If you are already logged into the app, you can change or update your password from the ‘Update Profile’ section found by navigating to the ‘More’ tab.

How do I view a menu when my store is closed?

If you are attempting to view the menu, but your store is closed, please view our menu online. Please note, that product inventory is determined at the store level. View our menu.

How do I update my account in the Caribou Coffee app?

Navigate to the ‘More’ tab and then select:

  • ‘Update Profile’ to update your personal information.
  • ‘Add Funds’ to add funds to your Caribou card.
  • ‘Payment Options’ to manage your Caribou card and stored credit card.
  • ‘Delete Account’ to submit a request for your Caribou Perks account to be deleted.
How do I check-in with the Caribou Coffee app?

You can easily use your app to check-in and pay in-store. Once you are signed into the app, on the ‘Home’ screen a bar will appear at the top of the screen; pull down and a bar code with your Caribou Card or account balance will appear.

How do I redeem and apply rewards in the app?

You can apply rewards to your order prior to check-out by going to ‘Rewards’ and selecting a reward and ‘Add to Order.’ If you have a cart already, the ‘Order Details’ page will also suggest rewards to use before you check out.

How do I favorite a location in the app?

You can easily save your favorite Caribou Coffee store. Go to ‘Locations’ and search for your favorite location in the nearby section. Once the location appears, select the heart on the right of the location; you will see this fills the heart. You will see this location appear on the favorites section. Once you have a location favorited, you will be able to personalize the location name by selecting the pencil and changing the name.

How do I favorite an item in the app?

You can easily save your favorite Caribou Coffee item. Go to ‘Order’ and build your favorite item with your specific customizations and ‘Add to Order.’ Once you are in order details, you can select the heart to the left of your favorite item and the next time you go to ‘Order’ your favorites will appear first.

Do I need to pay in the app with my Caribou Card?

No, you can use multiple different ways to pay. You can still use your Caribou card to pay, but also can pay with your stored credit card, add a new credit card or you can use apple pay.

Do I need to be logged in to order?

No, you do not need to be logged in to order, however, you do not earn points towards a reward or experience all features of the Caribou Coffee app.
