Supporting women who produce Amy’s Blend coffee
Each year, a very special coffee appears exclusively on the shelves of your local Caribou Coffee. It’s called Amy’s Blend, a light and dark roast coffee sourced from Guatemala, Costa Rica, Kenya and Ethiopia, and was inspired by the legacy of our original roastmaster, Amy Erickson.
After Amy lost her battle with breast cancer in 1995, we launched Amy’s Blend in her honor and have continued our commitment to the charitable initiative, donating proceeds of Amy’s Blend sales to non-profit organizations that reflect her legacy.
Caribou Coffee is proud to continue a partnership with the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) that started in 2024. For every bag of Amy’s Blend purchased, Caribou Coffee will donate $1 to the International Women’s Coffee Alliance* because we align with IWCA’s belief statement: when women are empowered, communities thrive.
What is IWCA?
The International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) is a global network with a mission to empower women in coffee. They directly support grassroots projects led by local chapters dedicated to fostering sustainable livelihoods in their communities.
What support does IWCA offer?
The organization provides training on sustainability, cupping, financial literacy and more, equipping women with the skills they need to thrive in the world of coffee. The contributions from our partnership create lasting change by expanding the knowledge and enhancing the living conditions of women coffee producers in the countries where Amy’s Blend coffee is sourced.
In partnership with the IWCA, the Women in Coffee organization in Ethiopia received a $5,000 grant from Amy’s Blend funds that supported initiatives focused on enhancing the capacity and empowerment of women involved in the coffee sector through targeted and crucial organizational development training. According to Women in Coffee Ethiopia, “The Basic Business and Life Skill training has directly equipped 33 participants with practical knowledge and a transformative mindset,” they shared. “The support for the General Assembly and Board Transition Ceremony has ensured the continued democratic and effective functioning of the Women in Coffee association.”

Making an impact through Amy’s Blend
One of our main commitments is to show up for the communities in which we do business. This means giving back through coffee donations, event support and engagement, as well as partnerships that allow us to provide for communities that grow our coffee, as we do with our IWCA partnership. Every time you brew Amy’s Blend, you’re helping us celebrate her legacy and the profound impact she had at Caribou Coffee. To close out Women’s History month, from March 28-29 we will also donate 100% of proceeds from Amy’s Blend light and dark roast† to IWCA, helping to support and uplift women in coffee.
*Caribou Coffee® will donate $1 for every bag of Amy’s Blend 1lb prepack beans purchased, up to a maximum of $50,000, to the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA) from March 5 – June 3, 2026.
†Caribou Coffee® will donate 100% of all proceeds of Amy’s Blend sold from March 28, 2026 to March 29, 2026 to the International Women’s Coffee Alliance at participating locations. Total donation amount of this giveback weekend and the entire promotional period shall not exceed $50,000.
