How to Brew: Hot & Cold

Hot brewed La Minita coffee

How to Brew: Hot

You’ll enjoy fresh, bright tart cherry flavors when you brew La Minita Peaberry hot.

Pro Tips:

1 Cup: Add 18 g (3 Tbsp) of ground coffee to 300ml (10 fl oz) of water. Brewing time should be 2-3 minutes from start of water contact with grounds until fully brewed.

1 Pot: Add 73 g (13 Tbsp) of ground coffee to 1.3L (42 oz) of water. Brewing time should be 5-7 minutes from start of water contact with grounds until fully brewed.

How to Brew: Cold

When you brew it cold, you’ll experience a sweeter, more syrupy flavor of maraschino cherry and cocoa.

Pro tips:

Best brewed as a larger batch.

Add 1.9 liters (0.5 gal) of cold or room temp water to 126g (23 Tbsp) of coarsely ground coffee. Combine in a 0.75+ gallon vessel and give 3-4 gentle stirs to ensure all grounds are wetted.Allow to sit at room temperature for 12+ hours. It can be covered with a towel or plastic wrap or lid if desired. Strain liquid through fine mesh, a cheesecloth or a paper coffee filter into an airtight refrigerator-safe pitcher. Pour over ice or drink it straight. Add your choice of milk, cream or dairy alternative milk. Enjoy! Cold Press is good for up to 5 days using our Shelf Life standards and the Toddy Method.
