Do Good
Many companies talk about “corporate social responsibility” but at Caribou we call it “Do Good”.
Do Good is one of six company strategies. Each strategy represents a long-term aspiration for our company.
Our first Do Good Report is intended to share and celebrate our achievements, as well as highlight areas where continued commitment and collaboration are needed in order to reach our aspiration.
Do Good is about making a difference in three key areas: Sourcing, Environment and Community.
- Sourcing – is all about the products we source — everything from coffee and cups, to dairy, paper and store equipment.
- Environment is about partnering with Rainforest Alliance, recycling, water conservation, waste reduction and energy efficiency, and for 75% of our stores to do some form of recycling.
- Community is about our community giving efforts including the monies we raise through Amy’s Blend, our donations to our internal nonprofit Caribou Cares and our food donation program, and our volunteer hours.
