Pay & Benefits
Attracting and retaining good people is critical to the success of Caribou Coffee. Along with a healthy work culture comes a competitive, comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401(k), life insurance, pooled leave, short- and long-term disability, discounts on drinks and merchandise and other perks. Many of these benefits are contingent upon position, number of hours worked and time with Caribou Coffee.
Health & Dental Insurance
Team members regularly working at least 20 hours per week are eligible to participate. Support Center team members are eligible the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment. Eligible dependents include same-sex domestic partners.
401(k)
Our 401(k) Plan offers you a convenient way to save for retirement through pre-tax payroll deductions. Caribou Coffee offers a discretionary match, currently 25% on the first 5% you contribute at the end of each year. This match is subject to a four-year vesting schedule, based on years of employment.
Team members who are at least 21 years of age are eligible to participate the first of the quarter following 12 months of continuous service, consisting of at least 1,000 hours of service.
Life Insurance
Basic life insurance is provided by Caribou Coffee to all team members regularly working 32 hours per week. Salaried Support Center team members receive coverage equal to 1x their base salary. In addition, team members can purchase supplemental coverage for themselves and their dependents. Eligible dependents include same-sex domestic partners.
Pooled Leave
Pooled Leave is a benefit designed to give team members a bank of paid time off to use for vacation, minor illness or personal time as one sees fit. Full-time team members who consistently work a minimum of 32 hours per week are eligible.
Hours are accrued from the first day of employment, and Pooled Leave eligibility will begin after a team member completes six continuous months of service.
Short-Term Disability
Support Center team members are eligible to participate after completing one year of continuous service. Benefits may begin on the 15th day of a disability due to an accident, illness or pregnancy.
Long-Term Disability
Support Center team members are eligible to participate after completing one year of continuous service.
Team Member Discounts
All employees are immediately eligible for discounts on beverages, food, beans, teas and merchandise.
