Amy's Story

Amy Erickson, our beloved Roastmaster, loved life, laughter, tulips and, of course, coffee. In fact, her craft-roasting standards helped make our coffee what it is today. Amy was much more to us than a Roastmaster. She was loved by those around her because her enthusiasm was contagious. She believed excellence was worth pursuing and she never settled for average. It is those standards that ensure only the best coffee makes it into your cup. In 1995, at just 33 years of age, Amy lost her battle with breast cancer. Amy’s Blend is our tribute to her—and our hope for finding a cure. 10% of all sales from the Amy’s Blend collection benefit Susan G Komen for the Cure.

Amy Final Artist

Caribou Coffee worked with artist Andrew Bannecker in redesigning the packing on all of the Amy’s Garden products. Bannecker, who is based out of Washington D.C with additional studios in New York and London has witnessed his grandmother, mother-in-law and aunt all battle the disease. Bannecker said “When Caribou Coffee approached me with this project, I didn’t hesitate at all. I was extremely honored to be a part of a program that gives back to the community in such an important way.” Link to Bannecker’s website http://andrewbannecker.com/.
