Register Your Caribou Card, Get a $4 Credit FAQs
What is a qualifying registration? A qualifying registration is a Caribou Card registration completed between 8/11/08 and 9/7/08 by a customer who has never registered a Caribou Card in his or her name prior to 8/11/08.
If I registered my Caribou Card before this promotion, can I get a $4.00 credit now? No. The $4.00 credit offer is only valid to customers who have never registered a Caribou Card and register during the promotional period (8/11/08 through 9/7/08).
Why are previously registered customers excluded from this promotion? In order to introduce new and unregistered Caribou Card cardholders to the benefits of registering their Caribou Card, we are promoting Register, Get $4.00. For our valued customers who have already registered a Caribou Card receive the benefits for registering their card and will be able to participate in additional Caribou Card promotions in the future.
If I register more than one card do I get more than one $4.00 credit? No. Credits will be given to unique registrants vs. unique cards. Therefore, if you register two cards under your name, you will be given a credit on the first card you register. Each new registered customer can only receive one credit.
When will I receive my $4.00 credit? The $4.00 credit will be applied to qualifying Caribou Cards within 5 days of eligible card registration.
What is a qualifying Caribou Card? A qualifying Caribou Card is a card activated by a customer who has never registered a Caribou Card and registers during the promotional period (8/11/08-9/7/08).
Will I be notified when I receive the credit? For customers who have opted in to receive Caribou Coffee communications, we will send you an email confirming the $4.00 credit approximately one week after registering your card. To check whether you have earned a credit at anytime, just log in to the My Account section and click "Check History".
Aside from the $4 credit I receive for this promotion, what are the benefits of registering my card? The benefits of registering your Caribou Card include:
- Card balance is protected in the event the card is lost or misplaced
- Ability to check and add to your card balance online
- Option to sign up for auto-reload online
- Special promotions sent via email when you opt in to receive promotional emails
How long does the register your Caribou Card, get a $4 credit promotion last? This promotion runs from August 11, 2008 through September 7, 2008. For each qualifying registration during this time, we will put a $4.00 credit on those customers' Caribou Cards.
How do I register my card? Here is how to register your new Caribou Card:
- To register your Caribou Card, just go to www.cariboucoffee.com/fourbucks and we will walk you through the quick steps below.
- If you are new to setting up an account with Caribou Coffee, Go to My Account, click on the "Register Now" button and carefully enter the information requested to create an account.
- If you previously set up an account with Caribou Coffee (you are receiving our promotional emails or placed an online order, for example) but never registered a Caribou Card, log into your account. If you forgot your password, then click on "I forgot or do not have my password" and we will email the password to you.
- When creating your account, do not forget to opt-in for Caribou Coffee promotions and news via email, so that we can keep you updated on your special Caribou Card promotions and we can notify you of your $4.00 credit.
- Once you have created an account for yourself, click on "Register Card".
- Enter the number from the back of your Caribou Card in the space provided then click the "Register Card" button. (Please note, the system will not allow you to register a card that has not been activated.)
Why can't you register my Caribou Card for me? To protect our cardholder's privacy and the security of their Caribou Card balance, our policy is that customers must register a Caribou Card themselves. During the registration process, you will be asked to verify your contact information and create a password to be used in the event that you lose your card. To keep your information and balance secure, it is important that only the cardholder has access to his/her password. As such, we cannot have our customer service representatives register Caribou Cards on a guest's behalf.
I do not have a computer or email address. How can I register my Caribou Card? Public libraries often have computers available to the public and offer free Internet access. Your place of work, colleagues, friends or relatives may also be able to help. You can use any email address. Many providers (e.g. Yahoo, Hotmail) offer free email as well.
