We met Senor Martinez years ago in Huehuetenango. We were so impressed with him and his coffee that his farm became the first one encouraged by Caribou to achieve Rainforest Alliance certification. Every bean of Guatemala El Paraíso is grown on the Martinez farms, overseen by Senor Martinez and his sons. By practicing sustainable farming methods, they have helped make life better for their workers and the community. We are proud to call them our friends. And proud to bring you this delicious, seasonal coffee.

As a result of our work with the Rainforest Alliance, the Martinez family was able to grow their family business and continue to help workers and the community by purchasing another farm that is now also Rainforest Alliance Certified™.It is a thread that includes all of us, and continues on to you.
